Friends of Shenton Bushland

The Friends collaborate with the City of Nedlands to look after the bushland. Seasonal activities range from seed collecting in summer time, planting in autumn, and weed control in winter and spring.

Cottesloe Coastcare

Local volunteers have been working with the Town of Cottesloe since 1995 to achieve a more robust and diverse ecosystem for the Cottesloe foreshore. We are still hard at work and always welcome new members.

Friends of Lake Claremont

The Friends of Lake Claremont was established by local residents to assist in the conservation and enhancement of Lake Claremont. They work closely with the Town of Claremont and the local community to prevent further degradation and increase the health and biodiversity of the area.

Friends of Bold Park Bushland (Inc)

Friends of Bold Park Bushland worked hard in the 80s and 90s to protect the park from housing development. They provide regular guided walks in the park and are involved in bush regeneration work, and roadside rubbish collection along the West Coast Highway park boundary. They work closely with the Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority, which manages Bold Park.

Friends of Hollywood Reserve

In 1997 the Friends of Hollywood Reserve was incorporated and commenced work in the bush. It was formed to save the land from Karrakatta cemetery. Friends work with Nedlands Council to preserve the bush, plant in the Spring with the assistance of Hollywood Primary School, and thereafter maintain the new plants, weed and water if necessary.

Swanbourne Coastal Alliance

The Swanbourne Coastal Alliance is a community coastcare group which has been involved with the protection of the coastal dunes at Swanbourne for several years. Our activities include revegetation with native species, conservation of the white-winged fairy wren habitat, raising community awareness about coastal corridors, liaising with local government, and other bushcare groups as well as contributing to the conversation about coastal planning more generally.

Friends of Mosman Park Bushland

The Friends of Mosman Park Bushland are a friendly and enthusiastic group of Mosman Park residents who are passionate about preserving and enhancing the bushland areas within the Town. They come together for busy bees on the last Sunday of every month to plant seedlings, spread mulch, pull weeds and generally care for the bush. Volunteers can often be observed working in the bushlands any day of the week.
