Friends of Bold Park Bushland (Inc)
Friends of Bold Park Bushland worked hard in the 80s and 90s to protect the park from housing development. They provide regular guided walks in the park and are involved in bush regeneration work, and roadside rubbish collection along the West Coast Highway park boundary. They work closely with the Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority, which manages Bold Park.
Friends of Hollywood Reserve
In 1997 the Friends of Hollywood Reserve was incorporated and commenced work in the bush. It was formed to save the land from Karrakatta cemetery. Friends work with Nedlands Council to preserve the bush, plant in the Spring with the assistance of Hollywood Primary School, and thereafter maintain the new plants, weed and water if necessary.

Our activities include revegetation with native species, conservation of the white-winged fairy wren habitat, raising community awareness about coastal corridors, liaising with local government, and other bushcare groups as well as contributing to the conversation about coastal planning more generally.
